Lyon, France

Whilst our main plan was to spend a couple of days in Annecy, on our way back to London from Berlin, I couldn’t help but try and squeeze in– at the very least– a couple of hours in Lyon. I have often heard the saying that Lyon is the “little Paris of France, and I can see exactly how, in the summer months, the terrace seating space outside the numerous brassieres can give off this illusion. That said, even during the brief hours we spent roaming through the streets, I couldn’t help but feel that Lyon definitely gets the short end of the stick, tucked away under the Parisian shadow.
