Climbing Ben Nevis, Scotland

On Saturday 14th October 2017, I along with 134 other people climbed Ben Nevis, in order to fundraise money for National Charity Week. The chance to climb the tallest mountain in the UK and also raise money for charities that support children in need worldwide was a truly amazing opportunity. I’ve always loved climbing mountains, for the intrinsically fruitful experience in itself– even more than the views (that said, the panoramas were absolutely breathtaking). I feel that there is something so soothing to be immersed in nature and surrounded by natural beauty; the sweet melodies of life and the vibrant colours that no paintbrush could ever replicate. There is particularly something humbling in climbing a mountain, a looming force that never fails to remind me how small we are in the grand scheme of things.  Such inimitable beauty is always a reaffirmation for me that the source must be eternal.
